The ideal time for your maternity session is between 28 and 36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully rounded and you’re still feeling comfortable. We’ll work with you to find the perfect time — every pregnancy is different, and we want you to feel confident and radiant on the day. Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, these photographs will be a treasured reminder of this fleeting, magical time.

You don’t need to worry about what to wear or how to pose — we guide you through everything and provide professional styling advice so you look and feel your absolute best. Your maternity session can take place in the comfort of our beautifully styled Sheffield studio, outdoors in one of the city’s stunning green spaces, or a combination of both. Each setting brings something unique to your portraits.
In the studio, you’ll have access to our full maternity gown wardrobe and beautifully controlled lighting that creates soft, painterly images. The warmth and privacy of the studio allows you to relax completely and try a variety of looks and poses without worrying about the weather or passers-by.
Outdoor sessions bring a completely different feel — dappled light through the trees in the Botanical Gardens, wildflower meadows in Endcliffe Park, or dramatic skies over the Peak District. We’ll help you choose the location that best suits your style and the time of year.
Whichever setting you choose, your partner is always welcome to join. Some of the most powerful maternity images capture the anticipation and connection between two parents-to-be, hands resting gently on the bump, foreheads together, sharing a quiet moment before life changes forever.
